Disaster Risk Reduction and Disaster Management

CHEF international is committed to serve the humanity. Besides its regular programmes CHEF International reached out to the people who were struck down by the forces of nature.

CHEF International has so far consumed about 800 million PKR to serve the devastated localities in disasters. CHEF provided food and non-food items, relief items, rehabilitation of health and education services in the affected communities. Moreover, the organizational approach was modified accordingly and a response unit; Disaster Prapredness & Emergency Response Unit, (DPERU) was established in 2011 with the objectives to incorporate the element of Disaster Risk Reduction & Risk assessment in planning, designing and implementing in all CHEF International’s endeavors. It was also to establish a platform where  the disaster risk management components can play its pivotal role and provide sustainable measures in terms of social and economic development of the country.
