Since its inception in 2007, CHEF has made significant improvements in its three major areas of focus, Inclusive education, Inclusive health and Cross disability.
During the past three years, it has made tangible contributions to disaster management in district Charsadda and some parts of Sindh and Punjab,
starting from Rescue, Relief and ending in long term Rehabilitation. During this period, CHEF was able to successfully rehabilitate numerous schools and BHUs/RHCs in many districts across the country. All these refurbished buildings were made inclusive. Maximum support was provided to reconstruct and re-equip houses. The CHEF cross disability institute; the Pakistan Insti¬tute of Rehab Sciences under the able leadership of Dr. Farrukh Seir in Islamabad has made excellent progress. Its first batch will soon be out and engaged in CBR services in the community across the country. The House of Blessings Charsadda has shown incremental improvement in scope, quantity, quality and sustainability of services. CHEF is aiming to further enhance the scope and capacity of Pakistan Institute of Rehab Sciences by adding Master and M. Phil courses. CHEF has started to upgrade its CVCs (Community Vision Centers) to Community Vision, Hearing and Cataract service Centers. We expect that this up-gradation will not only enhance the scope of these service units, it will also further upgrade Access and Uptake of service. CHEF has continued its Rehab services in Punjab and KPK with tangible results. Punjab and KPK Government in collaboration of CHEF are seriously considering establishment of Provincial Rehab Science Institutes During the coming years, CHEF will continue advocacy with Govt. of Baluchistan, Sindh, AJK, Gilgit & Balthistan and FATA for establishment of Rehab Science Institute for which CHEF will continue to offer its advisory and technical services One of CHEF major priority in its future endeavor will be to realign all its currently available and future projects with the UN Global sustainable development agenda from 2016 to 2030.CHEF would like to thank its collaborating partners particularly WHO country office in Islamabad, UNESCO office in Islamabad and CBM for its sustained and generous financial and technical support. CHEF would also like to thank other partners like Light for the
World, SEVA Foundation and TOM for their strong and sustained financial and technical support. CHEF would not have achieved its goal without the strong support of its long term partners. CHEF would also like to thank all its small sum and large sum national donors for their generosity, trust and patronage. CHEF in the end would like to thank the federal and provincial governments in Pakistan for their continued
support, the board members for their selfless and wise counsel and the CHEF employees for their devotion and dedication to community services. For future, CHEF is going to make major efforts to further the cause of disability, invest more in Rehab Science and inclusive education and focus on comprehensive disaster management.
