Delegation from CBM, Germany visited Pakistan and inaugurated their funded programs in collaboration with CHEF International
The delegation inaugurated the orthopedic workshop at Al-Farabi Centre on November 29, 2010. Mr K.B Rind Secretary (Ministry of Social Welfare & Special Education) and Prince Abbas Khan, Director General Special Education were the chief guests on this special occasion.
This workshop was a result of survey which was done by CHEF International and concluded that service providers for physically impaired persons needs to be strengthened. Therefore Under the auspices of Directorate General of Special Education, Ministry of Social Welfare and Special and special Education, Al-Farabi special Education Centre for physically Handicapped Children, Islamabad was found to be the most appropriate venue. This workshop has the capacity to cater 150-200 patients. Francois Muller, Orthopedic Technician, from CBM is heading this workshop.
Another delegation of CBM visited flood affected areas in Punjab and Charsadda, and inaugurated renovated schools, Water Hand pumps and Mobile medical container.
