To provide and ensure comprehensive, accessible and sustainable medical and rehabilitation services (primary and secondary level) to the marginalized groups with especial focus on persons with disabilities.
District Charsada with a population of 1.2 million, an area of 996 square kilometers and 46 union councils was the worst affected in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa province during the floods of 2010. The raging floods submerged vast areas of agricultural land and residential localities. A lot of people lost their lives and persons with disabilities and their families became more vulnerable during and after the catastrophe.
