A total of 315 wheelchairs were distributed to individuals with disabilities during a festive gala that included activities for children and families of persons with disabilities. The event featured food stalls, games, a musical concert, a magic show, and fireworks to mark the significance of the day. Governor Sindh, Mr. Kamran Tessori , actively participated in the cake-cutting ceremony to commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

In Islamabad, CHEF International also celebrated the day by distributing 250 wheelchairs to persons with disabilities. The event took place in a marquee and saw the enthusiastic participation of individuals with disabilities, their families, and children. Representatives from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, ICRC, British Council, and OPDs from Islamabad/Rawalpindi also took part in the event. Students and faculty from PIRS volunteered and set up stalls throughout the day-long celebration.

On 13th October 2023, Muhammad Azam Khan, Chief Secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, served as the chief guest at the World Sight Day celebration held at Dar ul Rehmat (House of Blessing) in Charsadda. During his visit, he toured various service units of the hospital, acknowledging and appreciating the commendable efforts of Chairman CHEFI and hospital team in maintaining a high standard hospital while ensuring affordability for the deprived segments of society. Additionally, he actively participated in an awareness walk as part of the event. All CHEFI eye care hospitals celebrated World Sight Day by organizing field activities, which included screening laborers at different factories.

On 14th August 2023, The inauguration of the Pakistan Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences at Dar Rul Rehmat (House of Blessing) in Charsadda was graced by the presence of the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. During his visit, the Governor toured various departments of the hospital, commending the institution for its exceptional services, particularly the provision of free services to the local community with honor and dignity.

The Governor underscored the significant contributions of Chairman CHEFI, Prof. Muhammad Daud Khan, in the field of eye care services, both within Pakistan and internationally. He assured that the KPK government is committed to providing all necessary support to the institute and hospital to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to the community.
