Maternal and Neonatal Child Health-Care services

Since its inception in 2007, Comprehensive Health Education Forum (CHEF) International has been involved in promoting mainstreaming disability through its development initiatives, visual impairment being its priority area. CHEF International through its programs is being instrumental in promoting and contributing towards inclusiveness and comprehensive development in health care services with focus on persons with disabilities. One of the objectives of CHEF International is to provide Comprehensive and cost effective health care services for all with focus on the need of persons with disabilities.

The Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) and Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in Pakistan are alarmingly high, since 2014. Comprehensive Health Education forum (CHEF) International has contributed to improve the MMR and IMR indicators through integrated and inclusive Maternal and Neonatal Child Health (MNCH) model at primary level.

CHEF International plays an important role to strengthen the Health System through integrated interventions.

  1. 24/7 Basic EMONC services.
  2. Development of Infrastructure/Existing structure renovation at Charsadda and Mandi-Buhauddin.
  3. Capacity building of health staff involves in providing maternal Health services with special focused on factors causing child and maternal disability.
  4. Community awareness campaigns to sensitize community on the importance of Maternal and neonatal Health.
