Pakistan Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences (PIRS)

Pakistan Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences (PIRS) was established in 2012 to overcome the challenges related to cross-disabilities (physical, mental, hearing and ear and eye). The main objective of PIRS is to teach and train the human resource to be inducted into the health care system of Pakistan to facilitate the rehabilitation service for persons with disabilities.

The establishment of the institute was an effort to build a strong and inclusive society, which supports its less privileged population including persons with disabilities and rehabilitates them into productive, dignified and confident members of the society.

The institute offers certificate, diploma and degree courses in the fields of vision, audiology, and physical rehabilitation.
