Pakistan is prone to natural hazards such as drought. floods, heat waves, extreme cold, and earthquakes as well as other disaster situations. According to the Climate Risk Index 2021, Pakistan ranks eighth for countries most affected by extreme weather events between 2000 and 2019. Pakistan has experienced a series of hazards in recent years. Therefore in 2007, CHEFi has established Diaster and emergency response unit within the organization to provide neces- sary and timely response in different disaster situation and since then, is providing relief and rehabilitation services to disaster affected communities.
